What is a thought, a dream, a moment in time?
Things pass and that's natural, and so is the human desire to record such moments. Life is a blur for most - the eternal dream as some say. Most thoughts are not worth recording, however and that is the irony of the internet.
I recall eggam.substack.com, where I too committed the folly of thinking out loud. It's a hubrous feeling, sharing everything. The urge to seem seen, check notifications, and let out that internal sigh that makes it feel like everything's alright. It's a lie - stop!
Two paragraphs in, and I'll stop (cause I see the irony in this… I'm doing the same thing). I do see the pleasure in this. What's next? After we give our souls to AI, and hope the slop is enough to feed our generations…
Profit. That's what's next - income, revenue, and then some.
Post. Contemplations, exchanging our divinations for revelations. It's not all bad, in a world that rewards content with economic value, perhaps this iteration of public expositioning will fare better than the pamphlet.
